What are your major responsibilities and duties?

My present project involves migrating a mainframe system to open architecture Web-system. My present role is to lead the team, take part in development, maintenance and testing of Web-based system (open architecture).

			What type of Company is Japan Communication?
			As the name suggests, Japan Communication strongly believes in people-to-people communication. It puts lot of emphasize on better communication amongst its associates. In order to achieve the same, Japan Communication holds meeting once in every month, where all the employees come together, share their experiences at their respective client engagements, discuss their issues, get advice from their colleagues and so on. We also have a group-ware through which every employee can interact with others, say for example to get some help during technical issues, share new ideas, get advice on projects from senior employees and so on and so forth. Thus, as you can see it
	provides as ideal platform for each employee to communicate with others even though they are working at different client places and hardly get a chance to meet personally.

How do you feel after attending the training course in India?

I got training on Java and Database technologies. I wish, I had some basic knowledge on both these technologies before visiting India as it might have helped me to learn more advanced concepts and at times I feel that I missed a big opportunity. Although, one can learn both the technologies in Japan as well but then there is a big difference. It not only helped me to become proficient in the above two technologies but helped me to grow as a person. It kind- of gives me a feeling that I have spent a life in India. The tenure in India helped me to broaden my knowledge in many aspects, such as staying away from home in a foreign country for the first time, cope up with situation where I had to use English for my day-to- day life which was not my mother- tongue, adapt to a foreign culture and many others. In short, staying overseas for a long period of time, medium of training being English, new culture were tough but then it was exciting and I am happy to have got the opportunity to experience the same.

What are your major responsibilities and duties?

I work as a senior programmer and a system engineer at Japan Communication. My primary role involves system design specification, development, unit testing, integration testing and verification. The types of system that I have been involved with are financial system development, Web-System development, Accounting package systems and others.

			What type of Company is Japan Communication?
			To put it simply: Japan Communication helps to grow the “entrepreneurship skills” within its employees while working within an organization structure. By working with the employees to find their area of interest, respecting individual pride and honor as an individual, work towards improving skills in their respective area of interest and finally try to provide an effective environment where each individual grow professionally and on personal front. In other words, it delegates the authority to think regarding his or her work. i.e. the employee get a chance to work freely and deeply in the way and manner as he or she intends to in their area of interest. I think that in this Company no one feels like [I am made to work], rather they feel like [I am working].
	Moreover, colleagues’ inter-communication is very active and constantly improving. It is not restricted to professional exchange of experiences related to work but also exchange different jokes, humorous topics, exchange views and ideas on various topics not related to work and organize social, recreational parties which brings each of the employees together and allows each individual to express themselves in forms other than work.

How do you feel after attending the training course in India?

It was very interesting. Staying in India for the duration of 6 months was great experience for me and was huge enhancement in my technological knowledge.
